Sustainability: Our Testimony
At CHALK we have always focused on creating high quality, timeless products. It’s what we do and we’re proud of it. When we design a product we hope it will be with you for many years. We carefully source all our fabrics and materials and work closely with our suppliers and factories to ensure high standards of working conditions and minimal waste. As well as responsibly sourcing our products, we are constantly looking at ways we can reduce our environmental impact and carbon footprint by identifying areas where we could be doing better and improving these. We never overproduce our products and we have never sent anything to landfill or incineration.
CONSCIOUS FASHION
Conscious fashion or slow fashion is the opposite of fast fashion. We want our clothes to last and stay in your wardrobe – not end up in landfill. Designing and manufacturing one size, quality, timeless clothing naturally develops environmentally friendly practices in the fashion industry. Clothing that will last for many years and is versatile prolongs their lifecycle and reduces their environmental impact.
We design high quality clothing, carefully sourcing our materials and working with our suppliers so we know who makes our clothes and in what conditions.
conscious processes
We do not shred, burn or send any garments to landfill. Instead we offer clearance products and seconds to stockists as staff uniform or sell them as seconds, with any leftover items recycled.
We design products around our fabric off-cuts to reduce waste.
Our complete fragrance range is made in the UK in a factory that uses solar powered energy. Our accounts office became solar powered in 2023.
Our marketing material is made with 100% recyclable material or sent digitally.
